While Practice Better Payments does not currently support Stripe Capital, you can still make payments toward your outstanding Stripe Capital balance using your Practice Better Payments account balance.
Required information
To continue making payments on your Stripe Capital balance using your Practice Better Payments account balance, you will need:
- Original Stripe Account ID (that has a balance)
- New Stripe Account ID (to migrate the balance, Practice Better Payments): Your Practice Better Payments account ID can be found by going to the User settings in the Stripe Dashboard while logged in to your accounts. Stripe account format, acct_####.
- Tax ID for the Original and New accounts. Depending on your country of operation, this may be your EIN, SSN, SIN, or an equivalent tax identifier
Important considerations
- The Tax ID or tax identifier on the Original and New Stripe accounts must be the same for the Stripe Capital balance to successfully migrate to the new account.
- You must include both your Original and New Account IDs in the request you send to Stripe support. We recommend having these numbers accessible.
Migrate your Stripe Capital balance to your new Practice Better Payments (Stripe) account
- In your Practice Better portal, go to your Settings > Payments Dashboard.
- Click View in Stripe.
- Log in to Stripe.
- Click the Help button (question mark icon) near the top right and select Contact support.
- Click the Select a topic... dropdown and select Other.
- Click Send us an email.
- Complete the fields in the support email form using the template below:
- What's your question or issue?: Migrate the Stripe Capital balance to the new Stripe account

How can we help today?: Please migrate the existing Stripe Capital balance associated with Stripe account ID, [enter Original Account ID (that has a balance)], to my new Stripe account, [New Account ID (to migrate the balance)].

We recommend submitting this request as soon as your Practice Better Payments account status is Enabled or Complete, so there is no disruption to your Stripe Capital balance payments.
