What Has Practice Better Changed?
Practice Better has consolidated its primary data servers to U.S. data centers hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS). Previously, primary storage was in Canada (Quebec) with backup storage in Virginia, U.S.A. This aligns with where your backups already lived and doesn't change how your data is protected.
All existing security standards remain in place — your data continues to be encrypted at rest and in transit using AES-256 encryption, with AWS Data Processing Agreements (DPA) governing how your data is handled.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does this affect the security of my data?
A: No. All existing encryption and security standards remain in place. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit using AES-256 encryption, and backups continue to run on a regular cycle.
Q: I’m not based in the United States. Does this apply to me?
A: Yes — this change applies to all Practice Better users as the infrastructure migration was applied platform-wide. That being said, it does not change how your data is protected.
Q: Where can I learn more about Practice Better’s security practices?
A: First, consult our Trust Center: https://trust.practicebetter.io/
