Connecting Flodesk with Practice Better
Practice Better does not have a direct integration with Flodesk. However, there are two ways to bridge the two platforms, depending on your workflow.
Option 1: Using the Zapier Integration
Zapier is a third-party automation tool that acts as a connector between Practice Better and Flodesk. When a client takes a specific action in Practice Better — such as booking a session or enrolling in a program — Zapier can automatically add them to a segment in Flodesk.
📍 Note: The Zapier integration is available on the Professional plan and above in Practice Better. Zapier's free tier is compatible with this integration, though it may have some limitations on the number of tasks per month. A paid Zapier plan unlocks additional automation volume and features.
To set up the Zapier integration:

- Browse all available Practice Better triggers in Zapier — including booking confirmations, new clients, package confirmations, and program enrollments: https://zapier.com/apps/practice-better/integrations.
- In your Zapier Zap, set your Practice Better trigger (for example, "New Client").
- Set the Flodesk action to Create/Update Subscriber and select the segment you want to add them to.
- Map the fields between the two platforms — for example, matching the Practice Better email address field to the Flodesk email field.
⚠️ Important: Only add clients to Flodesk if they have given explicit marketing consent. Anything sent through Flodesk is considered a marketing email, and you are responsible for ensuring consent has been collected before adding someone to your list.
Option 2: Exporting and Importing a Client List via CSV
If you prefer to manually add existing Practice Better clients to Flodesk, you can export their contact information and import it directly.
⚠️ Important: You may only import contacts who have given explicit consent to receive marketing emails from you. Do not import your full client list without first confirming consent.
To export your client contact information from Practice Better:
- Go to My Clients.
- Click the Fast Action Button (the green button in the bottom-right corner).
- Select Export Contact Information.
- A spreadsheet of your client contact information will be generated and downloaded, which you can then import into Flodesk.

Collecting Marketing Consent in Practice Better
Before adding any Practice Better client to your Flodesk list — whether through Zapier or a CSV import — you must have their explicit consent to receive marketing emails.
There are two common ways to collect this consent inside Practice Better:
- Using a Disclaimer — Add a marketing consent checkbox to your booking flow or client-facing experience. Learn more about Disclaimers →
- Using a Custom Form — Create an intake or onboarding form that includes a marketing consent question. Learn more about Forms →
💡 If you haven't collected marketing consent from existing clients yet, consider sending a Flodesk opt-in form to invite them to join your list voluntarily. This is the recommended approach for re-engaging your existing client base compliantly.
Driving Clients Back to Practice Better with CTAs
Think of Flodesk as your warm-up lane — it's where you nurture leads and stay top of mind until someone is ready to book with you. Once they are, your emails should make it easy for them to take the next step, right from their inbox.
In your Flodesk emails, add call-to-action (CTA) buttons that link directly to your Practice Better booking pages, programs, or registration forms.
Some examples of effective CTAs:
- Book a Session — links to your Practice Better public booking page
- Join My Program — links to a program registration page
- Get Started — links to a client intake form or onboarding flow
