What Are Instant Payouts

Instant Payouts let you request funds from successful transactions at any time, including on weekends and holidays. Once requested, funds typically appear in the bank account or debit card associated with your Practice Better Payments account within 30 minutes.

Instant Payouts are available to Practice Better Payments customers in the following countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, European Union, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, United Arab Emirates, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

Instant Payouts vs. Standard Payouts

Instant Payouts accelerate access to your funds, making them available as soon as funds from a card charge are successfully completed. However, unlike Standard Payouts, Stripe assesses a fee on each Instant Payout. Any funds not accessed through Instant Payouts continue to be paid out according to your default payout schedule.

A few things to keep in mind:

• Instant Payouts do not affect your regular payout schedule. Funds not paid out through Instant Payouts are still sent to your external account on your normal schedule.
• Instant Payouts can't use multi-currency settlement. Payouts must be in your account's default currency. For example, an Instant Payout to a Canadian account must be in CAD.
• Funds from card payments are available for Instant Payouts as soon as the charge is complete.
• Funds from bank debits (ACH, SEPA, etc.) are only available for Instant Payouts after the payment has fully settled, since they can be reversed before that point.

Fees for Instant Payouts

Stripe charges a fee for each Instant Payout. The Instant Payout fee is pre-deducted from the amount shown in your available balance, so the amount you see is the amount you'll receive.

Requesting an Instant Payout

1. In your Practice Better portal, go to Settings > Payments Dashboard.
    
2. Click the Pay out button. 
    
3. If you are eligible for an Instant Payout, you'll see an available Instant Payout option in the pop-up, along with a Pay out now option. 
   • If this option is not visible, your account is not eligible for Instant Payouts.
      
4. Enter the amount you want to receive, then select the balance to pay out from and the external account to pay out to.
    
5. Click Review to confirm your Instant Payout details, then submit your request.

✅ Your funds will typically arrive in your external account within 30 minutes.

External Account Requirements

To receive Instant Payouts, you must have an eligible external account (bank account or debit card) linked to your Practice Better Payments account. 

To see which financial institutions support Instant Payouts, visit Stripe's supported banks page and select your country from the dropdown. Only the institutions listed on that page support Instant Payouts.

Eligible account types vary by country.

What Funds Are Eligible for Instant Payouts

The balance shown in your Practice Better Payments Dashboard for Instant Payouts reflects only funds that meet the following criteria:

• Payment method: Card payment funds are available immediately, including pending funds within your payout schedule window. Bank debit funds (ACH, SEPA) are only included after they fully settle.
• Currency: Only currencies Stripe supports for Instant Payouts in your country are included (for example, USD for US accounts).
• Availability window: Only funds that become available within roughly 6 business days are included, based on your payout schedule.
• Deductions: Stripe withholds amounts for pending recovery debits and pending Practice Better Capital repayments to prevent negative balances. Learn more about Practice Better Capital →
• Fees: The Instant Payout fee is pre-deducted, so the balance shown reflects what you'd actually receive.
• Daily limit: The balance is capped at your remaining daily Instant Payout allowance.

📍 Note: If your available balance is below the minimum Instant Payout amount for your currency, it remains in your Practice Better Payments account until your balance increases.

Transaction Minimums and Maximums

Each Instant Payout transaction has a minimum and maximum amount that depends on your country and currency.

Daily Limits and Reset Times

Instant Payouts observe the following daily limits:

• You are limited to a maximum Instant Payout amount per day. You cannot initiate additional Instant Payouts after you reach your daily limit.
• You are limited to a maximum of 10 Instant Payouts per day.

Your daily Instant Payout limit is based on when you request the payout, not when funds arrive in your external account. For example, if you request an Instant Payout at 11:58 PM on Tuesday and receive the funds at 12:03 AM on Wednesday, that amount counts toward Tuesday's limit.
