Set up Your Default Time Zone
You can set your default time zone by going to My Practice > My Profile
We use this time zone when displaying events in your calendar and when sending you email with date-related information, such as session confirmations and reminders.
We also use this time zone on your Public Bookings page to provide clarity to your clients who may be booking sessions from another time zone. More on this in the following tutorial.
Booking Sessions in another Time Zone
When booking a new session, you will see a time zone field allowing you to specify the time zone of the appointment:
This field will default to the time zone set up in your profile. If this time zone is different to that of your current location (i.e. you're traveling or your assistant is setting up appointments for you from another location), you will see an alert at the bottom of the screen:
Viewing Sessions Dates in your Portal
We display session dates using the time zone of your current location. If you've booked a session while traveling outside of your primary location, you'll see the converted time beside the session date:
Your Public Bookings Page
By default, all times displayed on your Bookings Pages use the local time of your client. When booking sessions, your clients will see time slots presented in their time zone. They'll also see a reference to your local time zone below if their local time is different to yours:
Clicking on this secondary time zone will open a time zone popup allowing them to select a new, secondary time zone to view.
Is your client receiving session reminders in the wrong time zone?
This might happen if your client originally requested a session or activated their Client Portal account while traveling.
For clients who have not yet activated their account, you can adjust the time zone of their reminders by going to the Contact Information section of their Basic Information:
For clients who do have access to the Client Portal, they can update their time zone by clicking the Edit Profile button in the Profile Menu:
Then switching to the correct time zone from the time zone drop down menu:
Viewing your calendar in another time zone
There may be times when you need to view your calendar in another time zone (e.g. when you're out of the country). By default, we display events using the time zone in your profile. You can adjust this by choosing a new time zone from "View calendar in" field the left navigation menu:
