Changing the Calendar View
You can view your calendar events by month, week, or day. The My Bookings page also lists your upcoming and recent sessions booked in Practice Better.
To change the view, select the desired option from the tab bar at the top of the screen.
Navigating through days and months
In desktop mode, use the mini-calendar on the left side to quickly navigate between months or click on a specific date to jump directly to that day in the main calendar.
Days with scheduled events are highlighted in green.
The current day is shown in a darker shade of green for easy identification.
Changing the Time Zone
Events are displayed according to the time zone set in your profile.
To change the time zone, select a new zone from the Time Zone field in the left navigation pane.
A popup will appear with two options:
- Update: Permanently change your profile time zone (used for all future sessions).
- No thanks: Temporarily change the calendar view without updating your profile settings.
Filtering Events
Practice Better allows you to filter which events appear on your calendar, including:
- Sessions
- Cancelled Sessions
- Personal Events
- Booking Requests
- Pending Client Tasks
- Fixed-date Programs
- Client Protocols
- Birthdays
- External Events (Google Calendar)
To adjust filters, use the Display options section in the left navigation pane on desktop.
On mobile devices, tap the 3 dots and select Edit display options to modify filters.
Previewing Events
In the Web Portal, click on any event in the calendar to open a pop-up with additional details.
For sessions, this pop-up includes client information and associated notes, forms, invoices, claims, and package information.
Booking Sessions from Your Calendar
Tap any open time slot in the calendar to create a new appointment.
Alternatively, use the Fast Action Button at the bottom-right corner and select Book a session.
A pop-up will prompt you to select a client and enter appointment details.
Identifying Confirmed vs. Unconfirmed Bookings
- A light/white bar to the left of an event indicates the session is unconfirmed.
- A darker bar indicates the client has confirmed the session.
Rescheduling Sessions and Reminders
- To reschedule, click and hold an event on the calendar and drag the event to a new time slot.
- Or click on the event once and click Edit.
- Adjust the date and/or time of the event.
- Click Update to finalize the updated time.
Testing Your Availability
You can test your availability from your Calendar view.
- Click the 3 dots for more options near the top-right of your Calendar and select Test availability. Learn more.

Select and fill out the following fields:
- Select service
- Service method
- Session date

Start time
If you'd like to test in another time zone, adjust this in the Time Zone drop-down menu.
- Click the Test button.
The pop-up will update to let you know if the selected time slot is available for your service.
If the timeslot is unavailable, you'll be shown a list of settings, sessions, and/or external events that may be impacting its availability.
Printing Your Schedule
To print your Calendar:
- Go to My Schedule > My Calendar.
- Select the desired View and Display Options to include or exclude different events from this printout.
- Click the Print button located in the top right corner.
- This will generate a printout of both your events and availability.
