Setting up your default time zone
You can set your default time zone by going to My Practice > My Profile
Booking sessions for your client
By default, all times displayed in your portal use the local time of your browser. When booking sessions for clients, you'll see a reference to your local time zone to the right of the session time input field:
After selecting a time in your local time zone, a link will appear below the input field:
- If your client is in the same time zone as you, you'll first see a link to "View in another time zone"
- If you and your client are in different time zones, you will immediately see the time converted to their time:
Clicking on either of these links will open a time zone popup which will allow you to change the secondary time zone displayed under your session time:
Select from a list of available time zones. A list of recently used time zones will appear if you've previously selected one for any of your clients. Once you've selected a time zone, you'll see it appear with the abbreviated time zone name. Click on this time again to change the secondary time zone.
This feature can also be helpful if you're traveling and want to ensure sessions are booked for the right time in your primary time zone.
Your session date may change the calendar day in the secondary time zone if the secondary time zone far enough behind or ahead of your local time zone. In such a case we'll display the full date of your session (e.g. below, the session date is December 18 @ 11 pm EST):
Your Public Bookings Pages
By default, all times displayed on your Bookings Pages use the local time of your client. When booking sessions, your clients will see time slots presented in their time zone. They'll also see a reference to your local time zone below if their local time is different to yours:
Clicking on this secondary time zone will open a time zone popup allowing them to select a new, secondary time zone to view.
Viewing your calendar in another time zone
There may be times when you need to view your calendar in another time zone (e.g. when you're out of the country). Head over to your calendar and choose a new time zone from the left navigation menu:
This setting only affects the current calendar and does not change any of your default timezone settings.
