There may be occasions when a client would like to update their personal information. You can provide them with the ability to request these changes directly from their Client Portal.

Allow clients to view and request changes to their client profile
Navigate to your Settings at the top right corner of your screen and select Portal Preferences.
In the Client Record Preferences section, enable Allow clients to view and request changes to their client profile.
Clients can request the following changes to their personal information:
- Title
- Name
- Pronouns
- Date of Birth
- Relationship Status
- Gender
- Occupation
- Contact Information
- Secondary Contact
- Mailing Address

Please note: Clients will not see their changes reflected in the Client Portal until you accept their request.
Accept a request
A banner at the top of the Recent Activity or Basic Information section of your client's record will indicate that your client has made a request for an update of their personal information.
Click Review to review their changes.
The column to the left indicates your client's current information, and the column to the right indicates their requested change. Click Accept to approve them.
You also have the option to send your client an email notification by enabling the setting Notify my client that I've accepted these changes.
Decline a request
You can decline a request by clicking Decline from the Requested Profile Changes pop up.
You can choose to Notify your client that you've declined these changes, and optionally, include a note about the declined changes.
Click Confirm & Decline to decline the request.
View a client's profile update history
To view changes made to your client's Basic Information, click the More Options button at the top right corner > Profile update history.
Here, you'll see a list of any client requests you've accepted or declined, in addition to any updates you've made to their Basic Information (either manually or via a form mapping) over the past 60 days. Click to view additional details.
