Adding a Procedure Code
Superbills and Claims require you to define billable units (typically in 15-minute increments) and procedure codes for each service you provide.
You can set one or more default billing codes with billable units by using the following instructions:
- Go to My Practice > My Services
- Click Edit next to an existing service.
- Go to the Insurance Billing section under the Advanced Options tab:
- Under the Billing (Procedure) Codes section, click the Add code button to add a default procedure code for this Service.
- You can select any of your saved insurance codes listed under My Codes or Add New.
- Confirm the details and enter a valid Description, Billable units, and Cost per unit.
The Default Unit Charge will auto-populate if you've selected one of your saved insurance codes. - Click Done. You can optionally Add Another.
Adding a Diagnosis Code
Diagnosis codes saved in your Services will be automatically added to your session Notes, Superbills, and Claims
You can set one or more default diagnosis codes in your Services by using the following instructions:
- Go to My Practice > My Services
- Click Edit next to an existing service.
- Go to the Insurance Billing section under the Advanced Options tab:
- Under the Diagnosis Codes section, click the Add code button to add a default diagnosis code for this Service.
- You can use the search bar to populate a code, select any of your saved insurance codes listed under My Codes, or Add New.
- If you add a new code by searching, you can optionally select Add to Favorites, and the code will be saved in your portal for future use.
- When using the Add New option, enter all the code details manually.
- Click Done. You can optionally Add Another.
