This article describes a few steps you can take if you're experiencing issues with Practice Better not properly syncing with Google Calendar.
Confirming the correct calendar is connected
Depending on what you have associated with your email address there may multiple calendar options to link to so it is important you are linked to the correct one. To confirm this you can follow the steps below.
1) Click on the Settings & Preferences button (Gear icon) and click 3rd Party Integrations,
2) Click the Gear icon next to Google Calendar and under the heading Integrate with My Calendar ensure you have the correct calendar checked.
Confirming you have enabled the option to sync calendars
If your calendar is linked but the sessions are not syncing you need to ensure you have enabled the option to Sync sessions and task reminders to my Google Calendar. To confirm this you can follow the steps below.
1) Click on the Settings & Preferences button (Gear icon) and click 3rd Party Integrations,
2) Click the Gear icon next to Google Calendar
3) Under the heading Sync Sessions & Tasks ensure you have checked the box to Sync sessions and task reminders to my Google Calendar.
4) When the sync option is checked you will be given the option to select the Google calendar you'd like to sync your sessions back to from the drop-down menu:
Ensure events in your Google calendar are marked as free
Events in Google calendar that are marked as busy will block your availability in Practice Better if you have enabled the option above to sync sessions between the calendars. If you do not wish for these events to effect your availability you will need to ensure they are marked "Free" instead of "Busy"
In order to do this click on the event in your Google calendar and click the pencil icon to edit the event.
In the availability drop down change the event from "Busy" to "Free".
Exclude all-day events from affecting your availability
All-day events such as holidays or pay days are usually defaulted to busy within Google calendar and can inadvertently block entire days of your availability.
These events can be ignored by when syncing sessions between Practice Better and Google calendar by going to My Schedule > My Calendar, click Settings at the top right and under the heading Advanced Availability Options check the option to Exclude external calendar all-day events.
Ensure events are displaying in your calendar
If everything is set up correctly you can also ensure you have everything set to display in your calendar.
Go to My Schedule > My Calendar, and ensure the items you wish to see are checked off under Display options at the bottom left.
