You may need to adjust your Security & Privacy settings to enable screen sharing of your desktop and other applications on your macOS device.
Enabling Screen Sharing on macOS
1) Ensure the latest Google Chrome version or Firefox is installed
2) Open the System Preferences app:
3) Go to the Security & Privacy section.
4) Enable Google Chrome (or Firefox) under Screen Recording. You may first need to click the lock in the bottom-left corner to make changes to your settings:
5) Enable Google Chrome (or Firefox) under Accessibility:
You may be prompted to restart your browser in order for the changes to take effect. A reboot of your computer may also be required.
Re-enabling Screen Sharing after macOS Updates
If you are unable to screen share after a recent macOS update, navigate to the System Preferences app > Security & Privacy section, and then click Privacy.
1) Select Screen Recording. You may first need to click the lock in the bottom-left corner to make changes to your settings.
2) Remove Google Chrome or Firefox completely by clicking the "-" button. Keep in mind that only unchecking the checkbox next to Google Chrome or Firefox may not work.
3) Save your changes by clicking the lock in the bottom-left corner.
4) Click the lock again in the bottom-left corner and add the Screen Recording permission for your browser with the "+" button.
5) Quit and restart your browser in order for the changes to take effect. We also recommend rebooting your Mac.
