If you are missing the Start Session button on your Telehealth Call here are the steps to help with troubleshooting.
Confirm Session Type and Telehealth Application
The Start Session button only appears if:
Your session is set as an Online/Video session.
The Default Video Application is set to Use Practice Better.
If you use the Zoom integration, the button will display as Start Zoom Meeting instead. Learn more.
Set Practice Better as the Default Video Application
To verify and update your default video application for a specific service:
Go to My Practice > My Services.
Click Edit next to your service.
Scroll down to Booking Options and update the telehealth application to Use Practice Better.
Click Save Changes near the top-right.
By enabling the above, your future telehealth sessions for that Service will use Practice Better.
To update the default telehealth application for all services:
- Go to your Settings & Preferences > Telehealth & Messaging.
- Under the Telehealth Video Chat heading, update the Default video chat application to Use Practice Better.
- Click Save Changes near the top-right.
Ensure Session is Scheduled as a Telehealth Appointment
- Go to My Schedule > My Bookings.
- Click Reschedule on the session.
- Ensure you have enabled Online/Video chat and Use Practice Better.
- Click Update.
Once updated, the Start Session button will be displayed automatically.
