This article provides instructions on how to link your Garmin account to Practice Better. Your Garmin data will be automatically synced to your Lifestyle Journals and make it available for your practitioner to review. This integration will sync your sleep data, activity data, overall activity metrics (steps, distance, calories, etc.), and heart rate data.

Linking your Garmin Account
When your practitioner has enabled your Practice Better Journal with at least Activity or Sleep entries, you can link your Garmin account to import data into Practice Better.
💡 Not seeing your expected integration options? Contact your practitioner to ask them to enable the applicable Journal entry types for you.
To link your Garmin account to Practice Better:

Go to your Settings & Preferences > 3rd Party Integration page.
- Or, in the mobile app, swipe right to open the hamburger menu, then tap Settings & Preferences in the bottom-left corner. Select 3rd Party Integration from the Settings & Preferences menu.

- Click Link next to Garmin.
- A pop-up will appear, asking you to sign in to your Garmin account. Enter your Garmin email and password, then click Sign in.
- Next, click Save after agreeing to share data with Practice Better.
Viewing Garmin Data in your Journals
When you link your Garmin account to Practice Better, we'll automatically pull 90 days of data into your journals.
You can view your Garmin data by going to My Resources > Journals. You'll notice a new section for activity data:
Once a Garmin integration is connected, it will stay in sync in near real-time each time a user’s health device is synced to their Garmin Connect account.
It's important to confirm that the time zone settings in your Garmin dashboard match the time zone settings in your Practice Better client portal.

Unlinking your Garmin Account
- Go to your Settings & Preferences > 3rd Party Integration page.
- Click Unlink next to Garmin.
- You will be prompted to unlink your account and either:
- Remove previously synced Garmin data from your Lifestyle journal
OR - Unlink without removing the Garmin data that has already been synced to your journal.
Select one of these options to complete the unlinking process.
