Setting up your Practice Better client account takes just a few minutes. This article walks you through the activation process, from your invitation email to your first login.

What to Expect in Your Invitation Email
Your practitioner will send you an invitation to join them on Practice Better. Look for an email with the subject line inviting you to join your practitioner on Practice Better. The email will include an Activate My Account button.

Setting Up Your Password
- Click the Activate My Account button in your invitation email.
- You'll be taken to an activation page where you can create a password. Enter and confirm a password that meets the following requirements: at least 8 characters, one uppercase letter, and one number.
- Select your time zone from the dropdown.
- Check the box to accept Practice Better's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
- Click Sign up to complete your account setup.
📍 Note: Your only sign-up option at this stage is email and password. Once your account is active, you can set up additional login options, such as Google, Apple, or a passkey, from your account settings.
Already Have an Account? Linking a Second Practitioner
If you've been invited by a second practitioner and already have an existing Practice Better client account, you don't need to create a new one. Use the same email address and password to link your existing login to the new practitioner's portal.
- Click the Activate My Account button in the invitation email from your new practitioner.
- On the activation page, click Link to an existing account at the bottom of the form.
- You'll be taken to a sign-in screen that reads "Sign in to accept your practitioner's invitation." Enter your existing email address and password and click Sign in.
- Your existing account will be linked to the new practitioner's portal. After signing in, you'll be prompted to select which practitioner's portal you'd like to access.

Opening the Activation Link on a Mobile Device
The activation link must be opened in a browser, not the Practice Better mobile app.
If tapping the button redirects you to the app instead, follow these steps:
- Press and hold the Activate My Account button in the email.
- Select the option to copy the link.
- Open a new tab in your mobile browser.
- Paste the link into the address bar and go to the page.
Logging into the Client Portal
Once your account is active, you can log in at any time:
- Web: Visit https://client.practicebetter.io/#/signin
- Mobile: Open the Practice Better app and sign in with the email address and password you created during activation.
Navigating Your Client Portal After Activation
After activating, you'll have access to your Client Portal, where you'll find any session bookings with your practitioner and any programs you've signed up for.

Didn't Receive Your Invitation Email?
If you haven't received an invitation email, contact your practitioner directly. They can resend the invitation from their end. If contacting your practitioner is not convenient, reach out to Practice Better support.
