Google Health integration (formerly Fitbit) – Practice Better's Fitbit wearable integration now runs on the Google Health API, following Google's retirement of the Fitbit Web API. Client wearable data continues to sync into Practice Better, and "Fitbit" now appears as "Google Health" throughout the app.
- Activity, steps, distance, floors, calories, resting heart rate, exercise, and sleep continue to sync from connected devices
- New clients connect their device through Google Health from the integrations section of their profile
- Clients who previously connected Fitbit need to reconnect through Google Health to keep their data syncing — their existing history is retained and resyncs after they reconnect
- Clients who don't reconnect will stop receiving newly synced data once Google retires the Fitbit API; their stored data is unaffected and syncing resumes once they reconnect
