Benefits of Using Google Sign In
Signing in with Google offers a streamlined way to access Practice Better. Instead of remembering another password, you can use your existing Google credentials for quick, secure authentication across both web and mobile platforms.
This login method works seamlessly with your existing Practice Better account, whether you're just getting started or you've been using the platform for years.
📍 Note: Each Google account can only be linked to one Practice Better account at a time. This ensures secure, unique access for every user.
Security and Privacy
Your security is our priority. When you use Google Sign In, Practice Better sends a request to Google to verify your identity through a secure, one-way authentication process. This means we never have access to your Google password, and your account information and client data are never shared with Google.
Q: Is my Practice Better account information or client data shared with Google?
A: No. Setting up and signing in with Google from Practice Better is a one-way process where we send a request to Google to verify your identity. Learn more about this process →
Q: Does Practice Better store my Google password?
A: No. The Google Sign In feature is simply used to verify your identity. Practice Better never has access to your Google password. The security of your Google Account will not be compromised by signing in to Practice Better.
Q: Do I need to use my Google email address as my Practice Better email/username?
A: No. You can continue to use your existing email address (e.g. wendy@wendypractitioner.com) and password combination. We simply add your Google ID as another authentication option in our records.
Signing Up with Google
If you're a new practitioner joining Practice Better, you can create your account using your Google credentials in just a few steps.
📍 Note: The Sign up with Google option is available for practitioners only. Clients receive account invitations from their practitioners and can link Google Sign In after their initial account setup.
- Go to the Practice Better sign-up page.
- Click the Sign up with Google button.
- Authenticate with your Google credentials.
- Complete your Practice Better profile setup.
📍 Note: While a separate Practice Better account password isn't required when you sign up with a Google account, we recommend setting one as a backup login method. This ensures you can always access your account even if you encounter issues with Google Sign In authentication.
Linking Google to an Existing Account
Already have a Practice Better account? You can easily add Google Sign In as a login option without disrupting your existing setup.
- Log in to your Practice Better account using your current credentials.
- Go to Settings > All Settings & Preferences.
- Locate the Login & Security section and click Login Options.

- Authenticate with your Google credentials when prompted.
- You'll be automatically redirected back to Practice Better to complete the setup.
✅ Your Google account is now connected! You can use either your original login method or Google Sign In to access your account.
Managing Your Login Options
Practice Better gives you complete flexibility with your login preferences. You can use Google Sign In, two-factor authentication, or traditional email and password, and enable multiple methods for added convenience.
Unlinking Your Google Account
If you decide to stop using Google Sign In:
- Go to Settings > All Settings & Preferences > Login Options.
- Locate Google in your linked accounts.
- Click Unlink to remove Google Sign In from your Practice Better account.
📍 Note: Unlinking your Google account will not affect your Practice Better data or settings. You'll retain full access to your account using your email and password login method.
Switching Between Login Methods
You have complete freedom to switch between login methods based on what's most convenient at any given time. If you've enabled multiple login options, simply choose your preferred method each time you sign in.
On the Practice Better sign-in page, you'll see the Sign in with Google button below the email and password fields. You can click this button without filling in your Practice Better credentials.
For example, you might use Google Sign In on your laptop for quick access during your workday, then switch to email and password when logging in from a shared computer. Both methods access the same Practice Better account with all your data intact.
💡 Tip: Enabling multiple login methods provides backup access options. Consider maintaining both Google Sign In and email/password authentication for maximum flexibility.
Troubleshooting Google Sign-In Issues
If you're experiencing difficulties signing in with Google, you have several options to regain access to your account.
The most straightforward solution is to use your email and password login instead. Simply enter your Practice Better credentials in the email and password fields on the sign-in page.
If you Signed Up with Google or you've forgotten your password, use the password reset feature to create a new one.
