You may request at any time for Practice Better to delete your account data from our system.
Deleting a Client Account
As a client, you can request your account be removed from our system by going to My Profile > Delete My Account:
This option may not be available from the Client Portal depending on your practitioner's regulatory requirements. In this case, we recommend reaching out to your practitioner directly.
As a practitioner, in the event that a client requests that their account be deleted from the system, we will remove the following content created by the client:
- journal entries created by client
- documents uploaded by client via their Documents section (shared documents)
- chat sessions and messages between you and your client via Secure Messenger
All other data stored as part of this client's file will remain available in your records.
This process typically starts 30 days after the request from your client.
As a practitioner, we do understand that you may need to keep a record of all information and communication between you and your clients as part of your regulatory requirements. If you require copies of the journal entries, chat messages, and documents shared by your client, we recommend exporting your client's file using the instructions provided in this help article.
Please note, we retain database backups for 30 days for security and disaster recovery purposes. Your client data may persist in a database backup for a maximum of 30 days after the final step of this process, after which it will be completely purged from our system.
Deleting a Practitioner Account
As a practitioner, you can delete your data from Practice Better when canceling your subscription. Ensure you select the "Remove my data..." checkbox. Alternatively, you can contact us directly to request your data be removed from our system.
This process will start 30 days after your request. We will remove all data you have created in the system, including:
- Client files
- Services and Packages
- Forms and Disclaimers
- Availability
- Invoices and Billing
- Programs and Courses
- Protocol Templates
- Supplements
- Automations
You will also be removed from our mailing list if you have subscribed in the past.
Your subscription payment history will be retained for the purpose of financial reporting for Green Patch Inc. All stored credit card information will be removed from our system.
