Getting Started with Your Dashboard
When you sign in to your client portal for the first time, you'll land on your dashboard – your personalized home base. Everything you need is organized here for easy access: upcoming appointments, pending forms, shared resources, and quick actions. Using the Main Navigation
At the very top of your screen, you'll see your main navigation options. These remain visible as you move throughout the portal, making it easy to find what you need. The My Resources tab is particularly important – it gives you access to everything your practitioner has shared with you, including invoices and receipts, session notes, protocols, and forms.
Working with Quick Action Buttons
Directly below the main navigation, you'll find Quick Action Buttons designed to help you complete common tasks efficiently. These buttons allow you to request a session, complete a form task, and upload documents to share with your practitioner – all without navigating away from your dashboard.
Managing Your Appointments
Your upcoming appointments are displayed in the Upcoming Sessions widget on your dashboard. If you have an online video session scheduled, you'll see a camera icon next to your appointment. Simply click this icon when it's time to start your session – it's that easy to connect with your practitioner from wherever you are.

Accessing Your Online Programs
If your practitioner has enrolled you in an online program, you'll see it displayed directly on your dashboard. Click on your program's title to access the main program page, where you can view content, complete activities, and track your progress through the curriculum your practitioner has designed for you.
Finding Your Resources
Scroll your dashboard to find important items within easy reach. Pending forms, invoices, shared session notes, and protocols are all available directly from your main screen. This means you don't have to search through menus to find what your practitioner has shared – it's right there waiting for you.
Communicating Securely with Your Practitioner
At the bottom right of your screen, you'll find the Messenger feature. This is your secure, private communication channel with your practitioner. You can send messages and attach files to share information between appointments. All communications through this chat are encrypted and HIPAA-compliant, ensuring your health information stays protected.

Tracking with Food and Lifestyle Journals
The My Journals section of your client portal makes it simple to log important health information. You have two powerful tracking options available:
Food and Mood Journal
The Food and Mood Journal lets you track your nutrition in several flexible ways. You can search the extensive nutritional database to specify exactly what you consumed, how much, and when. If you prefer a simpler approach, add a free-form entry or upload a photo of your meal. You can even create custom foods and recipes for items you eat regularly.
When logging entries, you'll be able to record where you ate and how you felt before and after your meal – valuable information that helps your practitioner understand patterns in your health journey.
Lifestyle Journal
The Lifestyle Journal allows you to record activity, measurements and vitals, mood, and sleep patterns. You can also add notes for your practitioner to review. This comprehensive tracking helps paint a complete picture of your daily habits and how they impact your wellbeing.
Mobile App Journal Features
The Practice Better mobile app includes special features that make journaling even easier. You can take a photo of your meal in real-time or use the built-in barcode scanner to quickly find specific foods in the nutritional database.
