Accessing the Lifestyle Journal
You can access the Lifestyle Journal when you are logged in to your client portal by following these steps:
- Click the Fast Action Button in the bottom-right corner of your Client Portal home screen or on the Journals summary page.
- Select Log a lifestyle entry from the options provided.
- Choose the tracking category (Sleep, Mood, or Notes).
Tracking Sleep
The sleep tracking feature allows you to log the number of hours you slept each night, sleep quality, and any awakenings. These metrics can reveal important patterns over time, such as correlations between sleep quality and your energy levels, adherence to meal plans, or mood fluctuations.
To log sleep:
- Open the Lifestyle Journal for the desired date.
- Select Sleep from the tracking options.
- Enter the number of hours you slept and any additional details you need to share with your practitioner.
- Click Save to record the entry.
When your practitioner reviews these entries, they'll be able to identify trends that may be affecting your progress and address them during your sessions.
Tracking Mood
Mood tracking gives you the ability to rate how you're feeling on any given day. This emotional data provides context for your overall wellness and can help your practitioner understand psychological factors that may be influencing your health behaviors.
To log mood:
- Open the Lifestyle Journal for the desired date.
- Select Mood from the tracking options.
- Describe your mood in the text box provided and indicate if you feel this is related to something you ate.
- Click Save to record the entry.
Monitoring mood patterns alongside other metrics helps your practitioner provide more personalized support and adjust their approach when you need extra encouragement.
Adding Personal Notes
The notes feature allows you to document observations, thoughts, or anything you want to share with your practitioner. These freeform entries might include how certain foods made you feel, challenges you're facing, or small victories you want to celebrate.
To add a note:
- Open the Lifestyle Journal for the desired date.
- Select Notes from the tracking options.
- Type your observation or message in the text field. Optionally attach a photo or file.
- Click Save to record the entry.
These notes give your practitioner valuable context that numbers alone can't provide, helping them stay connected to what's happening in your daily life between sessions.
