Depending on how you logged your food, the nutrient data may not populate for your entry. Here are some steps to help you troubleshoot the issue:
- Did you search for the food using the Food Database?
- Did you log a Free Form Entry?
- Did you add a custom food?
1. Did you search for foods using the Food Database?
We recommend searching for foods in the Food Database. Once you start typing the name of your food in the text box at the top of the popup, suggestions matching your search will start to appear in a picklist below. Suggestions will include foods from the database and foods/recipes you've saved.
Selecting a food from the database will ensure that nutrient data automatically populates for your entry:
2. Did you log a Free Form Entry?
Free form entries will be indicated by the Free form entry status underneath your food:
When adding a free form entry, we will auto-detect the ingredients included in your description as you type. Ensure that you click the Use data button if you'd like the nutrient data to populate for your entry:
If you do not click the Use data button, the nutrient data will not populate for your entry. If you previously did not click this button, click the 3 dots next to your free form entry > Update:
You will then be prompted to click the Use data button.
3. Did you add a custom food?
If you logged your food entry with a custom food, you will want to ensure that you have manually inputted the nutrient data for your custom food:
If you have not included any nutrient data for your custom food, you will not see any nutrient data displayed for your entry.
