Set up a cancellation policy to discourage 'no shows' in your practice. These steps will show you how to set up a cancellation policy, require clients to acknowledge it prior to booking and process any associated fees.
Option 1:
1) Set up a Disclaimer or Terms & Conditions that outline your cancellation policy.
2) Go to My Practice > My Services, and add the Terms and conditions when adding a service.
Option 2:
1) Create a form with your cancellation policy and you can optionally add a required signature to the form so the client must sign off.
2) Attach the the form to your services so clients are required to complete the forms when booking.
Option 3:
You can add an clause to any existing agreements you may have clients physically sign when they start working with you.
Processing the Cancellation Fee
If you have Stripe/Square integrated with the platform you can Require billing information when clients book this service or you can require the client to Pay at time of booking.
If you did not collect payment at the time of booking then you can process the cancellation fee to the card on file.
Adding a Cancellation Notice
You can't stop a client from cancelling their session but you can display a cancellation notice to re-iterate your cancellation policy and deter them from cancelling for unacceptable reasons.
You can do this by going to My Schedule > Bookings & Cancellation Settings, go to Cancellation Options and enable Display cancellation notice.
You can specify the time frame on when you would like this to display as well as the message that will be displayed.
