Q: Is Practice Better secure?
A: Yes, Practice Better is both HIPAA and PIPEDA compliant. This means that your information is secured following Privacy Rules set by both US and Canadian governments to protect health records, personal information, and electronic documents. Learn more about our security features.
Q: Will Practice Better sign a BAA?
A: Yes we can provide a signed Business Associate Agreement upon request, provided you've signed up for one of our paid services.
Q: Can clients complete forms in the platform?
A: Yes, clients can complete and sign forms that you created using Practice Better templates without leaving the platform.
Q: Can I upload my own forms into Practice Better?
A: Yes, if you don't want to re-create your forms using our Form Builder, you can upload your existing Word and PDF docs for clients to fill out and send back to you within the platform. Click My Practice > Client Forms & Waivers, then click the red Fast Action Button in the bottom right corner. Click the Upload form or worksheet option
Q: Can clients who don't have access to Practice Better still complete forms?
A: Yes, clients who have not been invited to use Practice Better can still complete their forms. They can do this right from the link provided in their form notification email.
Q: Can I upload and share documents with clients in the platform?
A: Yes, you can easily share documents (protocols, blood work results, PDFs, images, etc.) with clients by uploading documents from your hard drive or by linking your Dropbox or Google Drive to your account.

Q: Can I schedule time between sessions?
A: Yes, when you create a new service, you have the option of setting buffer times before and after booked sessions. This buffer time can differ from service to service.
Q: Does Practice Better allow me to book group appointments?
A: Coming soon! We’ll allow you to not only book group sessions, but conduct secure group chats within the platform.
Q: Can I schedule appointment reminders for my clients?
A: Yes, clients can be automatically reminded of appointments via email and portal notifications. You can customize when these reminders are sent, and even send session reminders to yourself.
Q: I’m having trouble copying and pasting a Word document into my waiver, do I have to retype the whole thing?
A: No, you do not need to retype your entire text. If you are getting formatting issues copying content from Word you may have to select Paste and Match Style or Paste Special on Mac or Paste as plain text on Windows.
Q: Can I track what my clients eat?
A: Yes. Clients can log what they consume directly in their client portal using their Food & Mood Journal. You can track and review these entries.
Q: Can I communicate with my clients within the platform?
A: Yes, you can use our built in secure messaging and video chat features.
Q: Can I export my client data?
A: Yes, files may be exported at any time. The majority of your client data will be exported in a spreadsheet. Published protocols and completed forms will be provided in PDF format.
Q: Can I try Practice Better for free?
A: Yes. We want everyone to have access to Practice Better even if you’re just starting out. We offer you a free subscription to use with 1–3 clients so you can start growing your business without any risk or investment.
Q: I forgot my password, how do I reset it?
A: If you forgot your password and need to reset it, you can do so by clicking on the Forgot password? button on the Sign In page: https://my.practicebetter.io/#/forgotpassword
You will receive an email with a link to reset your password. Click the link in the email to specify a new password for your account.
Q: Can I change my plan?
A: Yes, you can absolutely upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. If you’re downgrading your plan, just ensure your active number of clients is within the limits of your new plan.
Q: Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
A: Yes, there are no contracts, you can cancel your subscription at any time.
Q: Can I import my data from my existing client management system?
A: Yes. If you’ve signed up for a paid plan, we can help you transfer your records over to Practice Better. Contact us for more information.
Q: Will Practice Better work with my browser?
A: Practice Better will work with the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox or Safari.
Q: Can I access my files from anywhere?
A: Yes. Practice Better is a cloud-based platform which means you can access all of your files on any device from anywhere you have Internet access!
Q: Can I share client files with other practitioners?
A: No. We’re currently working on a clinic subscription. More to come soon…
Q: What sort of information is shared with clients once I’ve invited them to use Practice Better?
A: For invited clients, the following notifications will be sent:
